  • Day 4: Prague - Bratislava

After buffet breakfast at the hotel, check-out from the hotel & make your own way to the station to board the train to Bratislava. On arrival make your own way to the hotel and check in. The rest of the day free at the capital of Slovakia, located on the river Danube. Bratislava has been part of the Roman Empire and over centuries it attracted royal families such as the Habsburgs and has seen coronations of Hungar-ian kings including the empress Maria Theresa. Most historical buildings of Bratislava are concentrated in the Old Town. Bratislava's Town Hall is a complex of three buildings erected in the 14th–15th centuries and now hosts the Bratislava City Museum, which was established in 1868, being the oldest museum in Slovakia. St. Mar-tin’s Cathedral, is a 3-nave Gothic building consecrated in 1452. As Bratislava became the capital of the Hungarian Kingdom in the 16th century, the Cathedral was the coronation place for Hungarian Emperors (11 Hungarian Kings and 8 queens were crowned here between 1563 and 1830). The Michael's Gate is the only one of the city gates that has been preserved from the medieval fortifications, and it ranks among the oldest of the town's buildings; the narrowest house in Europe is nearby. Also Bratislava enjoys numerous theatres, muse-ums, galleries, concert halls, cinemas, film clubs, and foreign cultural institutions.

  • Day 5: Bratislava - Budapest

After buffet breakfast at the hotel, check-out from your hotel & make your own way to the station to board the train to Budapest. On arrival make your own way to the hotel and check in. Rest of the day free in the Hungarian capital. Architecturally, Budapest is a real treasure, with enough baroque, neoclassical, eclectic and art nouveau buildings to satisfy even the most demanding traveler. It’s also known for its thermal baths. Overall, though, Budapest has a fin-de-siècle feel to it, for it was then, during the capital’s “Golden Age”, that most of what you see today was built. The neo-Gothic Parliament, is the biggest building in Hungary containing amongst others the Hungarian Crown Jewels. There are Roman remains at the Aquincum Museum, and historic furniture at the Nagytétény Castle Museum, just 2 out of 223 museums in Budapest. The Castle Hill, the River Danube embank-ments and the whole of Andrássy út have been recognized as UNES-CO World Heritage Sites. At the Castle Hill and the Castle District there are three churches, six museums, and a host of nice buildings, streets and squares. On the other hand, it would be worth coming to Budapest just to sample its Cafe Culture.
